How to connect Printer to Tablet

The tablet (Menufy Console App) has the ability to connect to bluetooth printers and network printers so that receipts for orders can be printed from the tablet. Once a printer is connected, a test receipt can also be printed to confirm the connection is working.

 

Connect a Bluetooth Printer

To set up a bluetooth printer connection via the Menufy Console App, please do the following:

  1. Plug in Printer and power on Printer
  2. On the Menufy Home screen in the tablet, tap the settings wheel in the top right corner
  3. Scroll down to Bluetooth Printer and tap “connect printer”
  4. Read through prompt and tap “ok” to proceed 
  5. Locate Menufy Printer in list and tap on device to connect
  6. Passcode when pairing should be “0000” or “1234”
  7. If connection is successful then the paired printer will be visible under “Paired Printer” on previous window

 

Connect a Network Printer 

To set up a network printer connection via the Menufy Console App, please do the following:

  1. On the Menufy Home screen in the tablet, tap the settings wheel in the top right corner
  2. Scroll down to Network Printers and tap “manage”
  3. Tap “Search” to search for nearby network printers and locate network printer
  4. After search is complete, tap on Network Printer to save
  5. Once the network printer is saved, it will be available under “Saved” and can be renamed, deleted, or a test print can be completed by tapping on the saved printer.

 

Print a Test Receipt

After connecting a printer to the tablet, a test print can be done to confirm that the connection is successful or to view the receipt to confirm any changes. 

If a Bluetooth printer has been set up already, please tap the settings wheel and tap "test print" next to the connected printer. If a Network printer has been set up already, please tap on "manage" under Network Printers to see the option to test print.

To print a test receipt, please do the following:

  1. On the Menufy Home Screen, tap the settings wheel in the right corner
  2. For bluetooth printers, tap “test print” next to the bluetooth printer already connected.

 

If a Network printer has been set up, please tap on “manage” under Network Printers to see the option to test print.
