1. General Information
Q: Why is Menufy discontinuing fax services?
A: As the restaurant industry has shifted to fully digital operations, fax technology has seen a significant decline in use across our customer base. Maintaining a reliable, secure fax infrastructure requires ongoing investment that is no longer aligned with how our customers and partners communicate. Discontinuing fax services allows us to focus our resources on faster, more secure, and more reliable digital alternatives that better serve your business needs.
Q: When will fax services officially end?
A: Fax services will be permanently discontinued on May 31, 2026. After this date, all fax numbers associated with our platform will be deactivated and no fax transmissions will be processed.
Q: What does "degraded service" mean in the period leading up to discontinuation?
A: Beginning May 20, 2026 through May 31, 2026, fax service will enter a degraded phase. During this period:
Fax delivery reliability may decrease and is no longer guaranteed.
Technical support for fax-related issues will be significantly reduced.
No new fax-related feature requests or enhancements will be fulfilled.
SLA commitments for fax services will not apply.
We strongly encourage all customers to complete their transition to digital alternatives before May 20, 2026.
2. Impact on Your Operations
Q: Which services and features will be affected?
A: All fax-related functionality within the Menufy platform will be discontinued, including:
Inbound fax reception
Outbound order notification fax transmission (purchase orders, confirmations, regulatory submissions)
Fax-to-email and email-to-fax routing
Fax archiving and retrieval within the platform

3. Recommended Alternatives
Q: What digital alternatives do you recommend?
A: Menufy supports several modern alternatives that replace fax workflows more securely and efficiently:
SMS (text message)
Automated Phone Call
The Menufy Restaurant Console app (available on all Android and iOS devices)
Menufy offers tablets and receipt printers for a small, refundable deposit—available at any time in the Menufy Store tab of your restaurant's Menufy Manager portal.
4. Transition & Support
Q: How do we get started with transitioning off fax?
A: This is handled internally within Menufy. There is no action needed on your part.
Q: Is dedicated transition support available?
A: Yes. Our customer success team is available to assist with your transition planning. Enterprise customers have access to a dedicated account manager who can schedule a transition review session. All customers can access transition resources through our Help Center and reach our support team at support@menufy.com or 1-913-738-9399.
Q: What if we are not ready by May 31, 2026?
A: Unfortunately, no extensions will be granted past the May 31, 2026 discontinuation date. We encourage all customers to begin their transition immediately. If you have concerns about specific workflows or dependencies that may be difficult to migrate in time, please contact your account manager as soon as possible so we can work through solutions together.
